I went and did a search and read up on the difference in coat lengths and that it usually depends on whether it is a show line or a hunting line. Some of the posts said that from one litter they had 3 different types of coats. Can you tell when they are pups what type of coat they'll have. The breeder I think I'm going throughs sire is the perfect look golden I like with the long coat, just a darker color then I'd prefer. The dam however has a short fluffy coat. I've seen pics of siblings from a previous litter, and the two I seen one had a short coat and the other's was long. Is there a way to tell this as a puppy? Thanks in advance.

I know you can "guess" the color by the pups ears. Cassidy actually got a bit darker than her ears at 9 weeks, but her ears were clearly darker than her body at that age so we knew she would be medium golden.
Coat length - don't think you can tell that young. I honestly don't think anyone can tell what the outcome of the coat will be until at least one or two years of age. All puppy coats tend to be the same - fuzzy and soft. Both of Cassidy's parent had the long coat so I was pretty sure she would, too. In your case, you probably won't be able to tell for the purpose of picking out a puppy.
