Penn Hip Certs?

I.m not really familiar with Penn Hip ratings although I have heard it is more reliable than OFA. My son has a deposit on a puppy. Both parents have Penn Hip ratings of over 90 along with various other clearances eye, heart, etc. Is this equivalent to an Excellent OFA rating? Just checking out my "grandpuppy."

My understanding is that PennHip compares the hips to others of the same breed, making it most usefull in common breeds (such as goldens), where as the OFA ratings are determined on a scale.
Glad to see so many clearances on the parents! Thanks for checking up on the 'grandpup', I love how much families are really getting into the care of dogs!

Personally I prefer OFA. I think the rating system is more widely accepted and that it's a bit clearer.
