Does anyone know of a great do it yourself grooming book with pictures? I want to be able to cut Chase's fur on his feathers and tail and perhaps thin it a bit. Anyone have any good suggestions or should I just take him to a groomer? Thanks! :woofpup
I don't know of a Golden specific grooming book but here are a couple of great websites:

And definitely get a good pair of thinning shears and some good trimming scissors....I used to use my regular household scissors and it looked awful....now that I have the right tools, he looks as good if not better than when I bring him to the groomer.
Good Luck!

I don't have a specific recommendation; however, make a visit to your free, public library. Most libraries are computerized these days, do a search for grooming or dog grooming. There may be a few books you could simply take out for a few weeks. Otherwise, visit one of those giant book store chains, where you can first browse thru the books to see which one looks good to you.
