I just wanted to share a picture of my beloved Tobey, who lives with my parents in Japan now. I adopted him from an animal shelter when he was a kitten and he moved with me to Japan when I lived there for two years. My parents love him and he loves my parents (especially my father- he licks my father's forehead to wake him up in the morning, sits on his lap when he reads the newspaper, and sleeps next to him at night). I miss him- he is such a character. He likes to go into any box that he can fit in (even ones he barely squeezes into), loves the vacuum cleaner, and likes to chase moving objects on the TV screen with his paws. I want to adopt another cat like Tobey, but haven't found one that meets his unique character yet. Do any of you know if long haired cats are usually more affectionate and easy going than short haired ones?
