We started noticing our puppy losing teeth a little before he was 4 months old. We noticed blood on some of his soft toys and he spits out a tooth when he looses it! It has slowed him down a bit on eating.
We never noticed our older golden loosing teeth. We never noticed any blood and she must have swallowed all her teeth.
Hope this helps! :)

Yes, they tend to start losing their puppy teeth around 3 1/2 months of age, and they lose them quickly after that. It's true that pups seem to swallow most of them, though if you look *really* carefully you might be lucky enough to find the odd one on your carpets or floors. They're really tiny, though! :)

Unlike in human children, the adult teeth come in very quickly, usually starting to come in within a couple of days of losing the puppy tooth, so they don't have gap-toothed grins for very long. ;)

You didn't ask, but I just thought I'd mention that pups with sore gums from teething tend to love things like ice cubes and frozen rags or ropes (wet the rag or rope, squeeze it out, and freeze it; the cold is soothing to their gums :) ).

Thanks so much for ya'lls advise and tips, Huntere has many chew toys, and we also let him have ice cubs, he LOVES them. Right now he is chewing on his bone, poor guy..I can't wait for this teething to stop for him. Him seems to be happy tho, so thats always great:024

I did what the monks of skete book suggest and would stick my thumb toward the back of her throat-not enough to make her vomit but she would gag and I would say "no bite". I mixed that technique with holding her muzzle, shaging her had a bit, growling and again saying "no bite". she is 4 mo old and has stopped.

The boys found one in their bed one morning :D Then a week or so ago, Anakin was chewing on his bone, andhe stopped sniffed at the floor, and I noticed there was something there he was sniffing at. Went over, and it was one of his back teeth. Both my pups, around 5-5.5 months old, are still losing teeth, but they should be close to being complete with that soon I would think. I've been checking their mouths, and they've lost and grown most of them.
