Wondering whats everyone's opinion on tooth brushing for dogs, is it highly over rated:415
Could it be yet another dental product to fatten a manufacturers wallet:rolleyes

Just to let you know, this is another one of those topics that we have already discussed, several times. If you search the health forum, you find them.

Ok. But I didn't see the highly over rated side to this question or the fattening of the wallet by a manufacturer listed in the previous posts:rolleyes
Could have missed it

Opinions on this are varied. Most dogs if fed a proper diet don't really need to have them brushed. Of course there are some dogs that no matter what you do still have alot of tarter on their teeth. My vets dog is 8 years old and has to have a dental every year. We were the ones who fed him, because he lived at the clinic, so we know what his diet was. He ate dry Science Diet dog food and got a few treats a couple times a week like beggin strips and snausages. He was a border collie/chow mix. I don't brush Honey's teeth but she is only 16 months old, I have thought about doing it though. I guess there is a call for it so someone answered it. It's like with anything else out there, just because it's available doesn't mean you have to do it.:032

I was watching a tv show today about dogs and the vet said you should be brushing your dog's teeth every day! :eek :eek :eek I thought that seemed a bit excessive.
I try to do Ella's once a week. I suppose it's better than paying big bucks to have the teeth scaled. :204
