An owner with a 19 year old female golden has contacted us. The story is listed in our weblog articles, above. If she survives beyond 19 1/2, she will beat out Max, as the longest living golden. :)

Funny you should ask. ;)
I believe they are feeding something called "Solid Gold Hund N Flocken ". Katies' owner wrote a comment in the dog food database, under Solid Gold. They also talk about a supplement that they are also using, if you are interested. :)

Thought you were joking about the hund n flocken til I went to database. Yes, I would be very interested in any supplement they give Katie :) Is the seameal supplement a food or something else?

Solid Gold typically sells a supplement that is made to go with their food. I know that was one thing that kept me away from them-you bought the food, and then for the best results, you had to buy their (pricey) supplement.
They might be using something else, but SG sells a lot of supplement.

I have been giving the Sea Meal supplement put out by Solid Gold to my senior Golden. Have been using it for around 8mths or so. It is a granule powder vitamin mineral supplement with seaweed added. I give it to him mixed in plain yogert & he just laps it up.

Thanks to all about the solid gold supplement. At 10 months Kelsi is probably too young for it. Does anyone recommend something that is correct for her stage as a supplement?

I have not heard back from her owners. And I seem to have misplaced their email address, or I would contact them for an update, sorry.
