One of my 3 cats has a sensitive stomach and has done well on Hills' Science Diet for sensitive stomachs. Though it does not contain wheat gluten and is not on the recall list, I am still feeling squemish about the company. Especially since it appears the food is mostly fillers. After reading food ingredient lists the past couple of weeks, I am shocked at the amount of fillers!!
I have been searching and can't find any other cat foods specifically for "sensitive stomachs", but several mention digestion problems. I'm leaning toward changing them to Wellness for indoor cats. Anybody have any experience with Wellness cat foods, or any cat food for sensitive stomachs besides Hills? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Tink gets constipated at the drop of a hat (or a bang of a firework) and had some urinary tract issues. I wanted to get him off the prescription diet though and after tons of reading, I went with Natural Balance. It's low magnesium and easily digestable protein and fat. I've heard good things about Wellness too, but I haven't tried it.
Tink has now been on the Natural Balance for almost a month. He likes it and he hasn't had ANY problems at all. In fact, he seems to be shedding less and his coat feels thicker :029
Years ago, Science Diet wasn't such a bad food. Now I think that any good quality food beats it easily. I'm certainly seeing a difference in Tinker :D

Thanks, Dogrunner. I'll check out the Natural Balance. My Jasper kitty has the opposite problem of your Tink when it comes to tummy problems, but it may still be a good choice for him.

hi there Meggiesmom! I have 2 cats and they are both old (about 16 and 18). One always seemed to throwing up, I did feed them Wellness for adults, not seniors, because it made him throw up, too. It was okay, but it did give my other cat gas, and since she likes to sleep next to my head, I switched to Natural Balance. They have been on it for about 3 weeks now are are doing great. My golden is on the NB duck and potato so I figured I'd try it for the cats, too. No throw up either! Ive tried Felidae, didn't like it, the cats would eat up really quickly ( i just leave their food out on demand) and seemed always hungry despite eating it all up so quickly. Hope this helps!

I've fed my 4 cats Life's Abundance for over 2 years and they've had very good results, less incidence of hairballs, drier stools. :029
When I finally get my Golden I'll probably try it for him, too.
I fed Wellness, Innova, and Felidae when they were younger & those were all good with them.
I hope no more foods get recalled!

Thanks for the advice, all. Seems anything I try sends Jasper running... I guess I'll have to stick with the Hill's sensitive stomach. Seems to be the only thing that doesn't cause him major problems and it was never recalled. Wouldn't you know, the little feral stray I tamed is the one with "problems".
