im curious to get input on the recipe that i have devised for my golden to supplement her dry food (eagle holistic):

stock pot filled with water
2lbs ground beef cooked in water. strained.
whole chicken cooked in same water. strained and picked.
1 pint chicken livers cooked same water
4-6 cups brown rice, 4-6 cups minute rice in meat water.
cuisinart chicken.
cuisinart raw 1 lb carrots, 4 cloves garlic, 1 head parsley, scrap lettuce that i freeze at is wilts a bit along with broccoli, celery etc (no onions).
cool and mix along with 1 1/2 cups ground flax seed.
form 2oz meatballs and freeze. GR gets a meatball for each meal micro'd for 45 sec to defrost.

I don't have any comments on your ingredients, but you might not have to defrost. You could see what your dog thinks of frozen meatballs.

I noticed that you are cooking.. is this better/safer for a dog than raw?? I'm curious as to why you've chosen this over raw..

What is the reason you cook the food? It is better giving it raw.

I suggest leave the garlic, rice and lettuce out of it.
Lettuce I am not 100% sure of, but I thought that it looses toxines when it is cooked. When you feed kibble, it is better to leave out the rice. Kibble is at least 70% granes, rice is grane too.

Please do not ues the microwave. It is much healthier for your dog to defrost it the normal way.
